OUR REGION CONSISTENTLY HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST RATES OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE STATE. THIS PRIMARILY WHITE POPULATION IS FOUND IN VERY SMALL COMMUNITIES SCATTERED OVER A RURAL, MOUNTAINOUS, AND LAKE-DOTTED AREA, MAKING TRAVELING AND NETWORKING A CHALLENGE, PARTICULARLY IN THE HARSH WINTER MONTHS.
